Refund & Course Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 25 September 2026

Last Updated: 25 September 2026

At Scholar'sEdge Academy, we are committed to delivering structured, industry-oriented training programs and practical learning experiences. This Refund & Course Cancellation Policy explains the terms applicable to course enrollment cancellations and refunds.

By completing an enrollment or making a payment for any course, training program, workshop, internship, bootcamp, masterclass, or other paid educational service offered by Scholar'sEdge Academy, the student acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this policy.

1. Course Enrollment

Once a student completes the enrollment process and makes payment towards a course or training program, the seat is considered confirmed and reserved for the student.

Course fees paid towards enrollment are therefore non-refundable after the applicable cancellation period described below.

Students are advised to review the course curriculum, duration, schedule, delivery mode, fees, and other applicable details before completing their enrollment.

2. Cancellation Period

A student may request cancellation of their course enrollment only if the cancellation request is submitted at least 7 (seven) calendar days before the scheduled commencement date of the course.

Example: If a course is scheduled to commence on 20 October, the cancellation request must be received by 13 October at the latest.

Cancellation requests received less than 7 calendar days before the course commencement date will not be eligible for a refund.

3. No Refund After the 7-Day Cancellation Period

Once the 7-day cancellation period has expired, the course enrollment becomes non-cancellable and non-refundable.

No refund will ordinarily be provided for:

  • Change of mind
  • Change in career plans
  • Personal commitments
  • Relocation
  • Academic or employment commitments
  • Failure to attend classes
  • Non-participation in the course
  • Loss of interest
  • Failure to complete the course
  • Scheduling conflicts
  • Personal or professional circumstances

The student is responsible for considering their availability and suitability for the course before completing enrollment.

This clause remains subject to any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law.

4. Cancellation Before Course Commencement

Where a student submits a valid cancellation request at least 7 calendar days before the course commencement date, Scholar'sEdge Academy may process the eligible refund after verification of the enrollment and payment.

Any applicable payment gateway, transaction, banking, or other charges that were clearly disclosed before payment may be deducted where permitted by applicable law.

5. Cancellation Within 7 Days of Course Commencement

Cancellation requests received within 7 calendar days before the scheduled course commencement date will not ordinarily qualify for a refund.

Example: If the course begins on 20 October, cancellation requests received from 14 October onwards will generally be treated as non-refundable.

6. Cancellation After Course Commencement

Once the course has commenced, no cancellation or refund will ordinarily be permitted.

This applies even if the student:

  • Has not attended any classes after commencement;
  • Has attended only a limited number of classes;
  • Has not accessed the LMS;
  • Has not completed assignments;
  • Has not participated in projects; or
  • Subsequently decides not to continue the course.

The course seat, trainer allocation, academic resources, infrastructure, learning resources, and other arrangements may already have been committed by the Academy.

7. Absence or Non-Attendance

Non-attendance does not constitute cancellation.

If a student voluntarily stops attending classes after enrollment or after the course has commenced, the enrollment will remain active and the fees paid will not ordinarily be refundable.

Students are encouraged to contact the Academy if they experience genuine difficulties in attending their scheduled sessions.

8. Batch Transfer

Where appropriate, Scholar'sEdge Academy may, at its discretion, allow a student to transfer to another available batch instead of processing a refund.

Batch transfer is subject to:

  • Availability of seats;
  • Availability of the requested batch;
  • Course schedule;
  • Academic requirements; and
  • Approval by the Academy.

A batch transfer is not an automatic entitlement and may be subject to additional terms.

9. Course Transfer

In exceptional circumstances, the Academy may permit a student to transfer their enrollment to another eligible course.

Any such transfer will be subject to:

  • Academy approval;
  • Course availability;
  • Difference in course fees;
  • Course eligibility requirements; and
  • Applicable administrative conditions.

A course transfer does not automatically create an entitlement to a cash refund.

10. Digital Content & LMS Access

Where a course provides access to:

  • LMS platforms;
  • Recorded classes;
  • Digital study materials;
  • Assignments;
  • Projects;
  • Downloadable resources;
  • Assessments; or
  • Other digital learning resources,

the activation or provision of such resources may affect refund eligibility.

Once the course has commenced or digital services have been provided, the enrollment will ordinarily be treated as non-refundable.

11. Internship Component

For programs that include an internship as part of the course structure, the internship component forms part of the overall training program.

Once the relevant training or internship services have commenced, no cancellation or refund will ordinarily be available.

Internship participation and completion remain subject to the applicable academic, attendance, project, performance, and documentation requirements.

12. Certification & Examination Charges

Where applicable, fees paid or committed towards:

  • Certification;
  • Examination registration;
  • Assessment;
  • Third-party certification;
  • External platforms; or
  • Other third-party services

may be non-refundable once registration or processing has been completed.

Any such charges will be subject to the applicable third-party terms and applicable law.

13. Refund Due to Academy-Side Cancellation

If Scholar'sEdge Academy cancels a confirmed course before commencement and is unable to provide a reasonably equivalent alternative batch or course, the Academy will communicate the available options to affected students.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • Transfer to another batch;
  • Transfer to an equivalent course; or
  • Refund of the applicable amount for the cancelled service.

14. Duplicate or Excess Payment

If a student accidentally makes a duplicate or excess payment, the student should notify Scholar'sEdge Academy promptly.

After verification of the transaction, any eligible duplicate or excess amount may be refunded through the applicable payment method, subject to applicable payment-processing requirements.

15. Refund Request Procedure

Where a student is eligible to request cancellation and refund under this policy, the request must be submitted in writing.

The request should include:

  • Student's full name;
  • Registered mobile number;
  • Registered email address;
  • Course name;
  • Enrollment/registration number, if applicable;
  • Payment date;
  • Amount paid;
  • Transaction/reference ID; and
  • Reason for cancellation.

The Academy may request additional information or documents for verification.

16. Refund Processing

Once a refund is approved, Scholar'sEdge Academy will initiate the eligible refund within a reasonable processing period.

The time taken for the amount to be credited to the student's bank account, card, UPI account, or other payment method may depend on the relevant bank, payment gateway, card issuer, or financial institution.

17. No Refund Through Non-Official Channels

Refund requests must be submitted through the official communication channels of Scholar'sEdge Academy.

Students should not rely on verbal assurances or communications from unauthorized individuals regarding refunds or cancellations.

Only refunds approved by the Academy through its authorized process will be considered valid.

18. Policy Exceptions

Any exception to this policy must be expressly approved by Scholar'sEdge Academy in writing.

An exception granted in one individual case shall not automatically establish a right to the same exception in another case.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory consumer rights or remedies available under applicable Indian law.

19. Grievance Redressal

For questions, complaints, cancellation requests, or refund-related concerns, students may contact Scholar'sEdge Academy using the official contact details published on the website.

Students should mention their course name and enrollment/payment details when submitting a refund or cancellation-related request.

20. Changes to This Policy

Scholar'sEdge Academy reserves the right to update this Refund & Course Cancellation Policy from time to time.

Any updated version will be published on the official website with the revised effective date.

The policy applicable to a student's enrollment will be determined in accordance with the applicable terms communicated at the time of enrollment, subject to applicable law.

21. Student Acknowledgement

By completing the course enrollment and making payment, the student confirms that they have:

  • Reviewed the course details;
  • Understood the course duration and commencement date;
  • Understood the fee structure;
  • Read and understood the Refund & Course Cancellation Policy; and
  • Accepted that course cancellation requests must be submitted at least 7 calendar days before the course commencement date to be considered for a refund.

After the 7-day cancellation period, course enrollment is non-cancellable and non-refundable, subject to applicable law.
